Help Aurora and Her Family Rebuild After Tragic Fire

By now, many of you have heard the devastating news: On the night of December 17, 2024, my sister Aurora’s home was nearly destroyed in a catastrophic fire. We are grateful beyond words that Aurora, my nieces, my nephew, and their two cats and two dogs all made it out safely. However, their home is now uninhabitable—boarded up, with the damage making it unsafe for living.
Currently, Aurora and her family are staying in a hotel and receiving emergency support from family and the Red Cross. While their house is insured, we all know that insurance can only go so far. It won’t cover the priceless loss of personal belongings or alleviate the emotional toll of such a tragedy, especially during the holiday season.
We are asking for your kindness and generosity to help raise $25,000 to support Aurora and her family in the coming months. This amount will go toward essentials such as:
• Food and clothing for Aurora, the kids, and their pets.
• Shelter costs, including hotel stays and interim housing arrangements.
• Insurance deductibles and other immediate expenses not covered by their policy.
Every single donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful impact on this family’s ability to navigate the challenging road ahead.
Please let’s come together as a community to provide some stability, love and support for Aurora and her kids. Whether you’re near or far, your support will help rebuild not only their home but also their spirits.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your generosity and compassion. Please share this campaign widely so we can reach others who may also want to help.
With gratitude,
The Workman Family
