Help Aurelia & Angel Grow Their Dance Spot

Hello Community, my name is Perla Nixon and I want to introduce you to a family-owned business that deserves so much and more. Aurelia and Angel are a mother and son team that are owners of “The Spot Dance Fitness/The Rental Spot,” in La Puente, California. This location is a place where not only children of all ages take dance classes but also adults. The true meaning of community classes where you feel the family vibe.

In the four years that they have been open, the variety of events have been amazing. They have hosted Pop-Up Events, Back to School Giveaways including free haircuts for the kiddos, Holiday activities including Cookie decorating and Pet exhibitions. So much of this along with special performances at various community events including the La Puente Christmas Parade. I have personally used their facility for my daughter’s Covid-delayed Sweet 16 dance practices and for my dance/drill team practices (Warriorettes) to keep us out of the elements. They always make us feel welcome, encourage us, and help record our practices.

They have an opportunity to move to a slightly bigger location as they have outgrown their current location (on 2nd St.) and this is where we, as a community, come in. Hold on, they are not moving out of Old Town La Puente, they are trying to move around the corner (on Main St.). However, the opportunity is slipping away as the new location needs some work to keep the transition at a minimum. Please, let’s give them a chance to grow and keep the community active by donating any amount to make this happen. If you’re interested in classes for yourself or your kiddos, stop by and see for yourself. The kiddos love their classes, instructors, and time with their new dance family. Find it in your heart to donate to this family-owned business who does this for the love of the community, seeing the kiddos break out of their shell and dance like no one is watching. I promise that you will not regret making the great decision to donate to this Awesome “Spot!”
