Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My Auntie Sandy has been in and out of the hospital for nearly a month, she was diagnosed with West Nile Disease and now is dealing with blood clots and pulmonary issues. After a few LONG weeks, we’re grateful to share that she is finally on the path to recovery, thanks to Mayo Hospital.

The last month has brought not only emotional stress but a serious financial hardship. The loss of income, combined with mounting medical bills, will be incredibly overwhelming for both Sandy and my Uncle Don.

For years, Sandy has been employed as a caregiver, pouring her heart into helping others. Most of Sandy's adult life has been taking care of adults with disabilities, taking care of the elderly and taking care of her family. She is the one who shows up with that unforgettable laugh —she’s always been the one who cares for everyone else. Now, it’s our turn to take care of her. Anyone who knows Sandy knows how much she loves her work. Her compassion, warmth, and deep sense of humor shine through in everything she does.
