Help Aunt Pam Rebuild After the Eaton Fire Disaster
Donation protected
I'm reaching out to ask for your support for my Aunt Pamela Hauck, who has been deeply affected by the Eaton Fire Disaster in California. I'm Jesse, and live in Asheville, but have never felt farther away from my family in California. Aunt Pam is an amazing mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. Family means everything to her, and now her family needs help. Having personally experienced the devastation of Hurricane Helene in Asheville, NC, I can empathize with the overwhelming challenges she and so many others are facing right now.
During the fires, my aunt was one of many who had to evacuate. Her mobility issues make this ordeal even more difficult, as she struggles with movement and independence. She also suffers from extreme COPD, which has been exacerbated by the wildfires. While she has been temporarily relocated, the house they're currently in is not suitable for her long-term needs. Her son, Sean, lives with her and is her everyday caretaker as the cost of live-in caretakers is very expensive. He sacrifices his work and time to make sure his mother has everything she needs. They have a dog named Stella, a sweet old Greyhound, that is with them as well. Right now, they are safe, but their situation is not ideal to suit her or their needs much longer.
This fundraiser aims to help cover the costs of securing a safe and comfortable home for her and her in-house caretaker, Sean. They don't have a vehicle right now, so any extra funds after securing a safe place for them to live will go towards a car to help them make it to doctor's appointments and other necessities like groceries and other supplies needed for her care.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward:
- Securing suitable housing that accommodates her mobility needs
- Covering basic necessities such as food, heating, and other essential expenses
- Covering costs of transportation to and from the doctor
Thank you for taking the time to read about my aunt's situation and for considering a donation. After living through the natural disaster hurricane in NC, I feel their pain of not knowing what's next. I know there are so many people struggling in the Los Angeles area right now, but I hope we can raise some funds to help my family. Your generosity will not only help my aunt get back on her feet and a safe place to live while they rebuild, but also bring hope and comfort during this incredibly challenging time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for any support you can provide. If you are unable to contribute, please consider sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help. Your support means the world to us and will make a lasting difference in our lives.
