Hello!
My name is Lisa Brown, niece of Charlene “Elena” Sarnecki, who is bravely fighting a Stage 2 (aggressive) Breast Cancer diagnosis!
I asked my aunt Elena (You may know her as Charlene) to allow me to make a GoFundMe to help her during this incredibly challenging time. My aunt didn’t JUST receive a scary and life altering diagnosis, she also lost her husband unexpectedly, weeks later, on FATHERS DAY (of all days!)! She had her first chemotherapy treatment only two days after her and my cousin Megan Sarnecki found my uncle Larry Sarnecki unresponsive! We are still in shock at our loss. How can you find time to heal cancer, grieve the loss of your husband, and help your daughter through her first pregnancy. She needs our help!
Please see more of her story below:
Help Aunt Elena Heal After Cancer, Loss & Unimaginable Hardship
My beautiful aunt, Charlene “Elena,” is facing a season of unimaginable pain, loss, and financial hardship — and we are reaching out in deep faith and love, asking for your help.
Just recently, Aunt Elena was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer that has already spread to multiple areas. As if that wasn’t devastating enough, just days later, her husband passed away unexpectedly on Father’s Day. She and her daughter Megan, found him unresponsive in their home — just two days before Elena was scheduled to begin her first round of chemotherapy.
Her world turned upside down in an instant — physically, emotionally, and financially.
What She’s Facing Now:
• Aggressive cancer that requires ongoing chemotherapy
• Sudden, traumatic loss of her husband and life partner
• Support for her pregnant daughter, who lives with her
• A fire in the office building where she works as a realtor — damaging the space she rents and uses for income
Despite all this, Aunt Elena continues to show up for her family, pushing forward with quiet strength and faith. But right now, she needs help. Medical bills, funeral costs, and income loss are piling up fast, and the weight is simply too heavy to carry alone.
How You Can Help:
We’re humbly asking for donations to help ease the burdens:
• Cover medical treatments and travel for care
• Assist with living expenses while she is unable to work full time
• Offset funeral and memorial expenses
• Help repair or replace damaged office space
• Support her daughter during pregnancy and after birth
Any amount — makes a difference. If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this campaign and lifting Elena in your prayers.
With deep love and gratitude,
Lisa Brown & Family
