Help Aunt Dee Move to a Safe Senior Home

Dear friends and family,

My name is Deanna and I’m writing on behalf of my 86 year old beloved Aunt Dee who has always been a source of love and warmth in our lives. We are asking for assistance with moving her to a more affordable home. Aunt Dee has lived in her current townhome for 39 years and her rent is now $1780 monthly, you would think that after a certain amount of time that there would be a cap on rent especially after that many years. We have reached out to resources but they mostly only have funds during a certain period. We’ve found a wonderful senior home that offers more affordable and sustainable living. Moving there would provide her with not only financial relief but also a supportive and safe community. They will only hold the unit temporarily and require her current rent to be at a zero balance.

Unfortunately, the costs associated with the transition—such as deposits, moving expenses, and other fees including some back rent—are beyond what she can manage on her limited income. We’re doing everything we can as a family to help, but we need some extra support to make this move possible.

We’re reaching out to ask for any contributions to help cover the costs of this important transition. Every bit helps and brings us closer to giving Aunt Dee the peace of mind she deserves.
