Help Aunt Deannie with Lewy Body Dementia Care Expenses

Donation protected
I am no longer able to comprehend, read or write so my family is writing this for me.

My name is Lois but you can call me Aunt Deannie. All my family and friends do. I've never had kids or a husband but I've raised kids and rescued animals my whole life. I raised my younger sister all alone when our parents died when she was 11. My family says I'm the most selfless, compassionate and giving person they've ever met. I don't have much family left now. I'm going to be 84 in July.

Ive been a strong woman but life has given me, many challenges. I have 4 eye diseases and have been legally blind and disabled since I was in my 40's. I now have very little vision left. My biggest obstacle now is Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinson's. My life is full of delusions, hallucinations, memory issues and almost no mobility. I live in a different world than everyone else and sometimes, it's very scary.

I'm a breast cancer survivor, I have diabetes, I've had three toe amputations and I've survived a massive heart attack, heart failure and many eye surgeries but yet, I'm a fighter and I am still here.

I'm the one who needs help now though. My family took care of me for years but as I've declined, I need much more care from people educated in caring for Lewy Body Dementia. I'm now in a special Dementia Care Facility. It's so expensive. My family can no longer pay the large monthly payments that they have been paying for me to be taken care of, the right way.

I'm asking for any help that kind, compassionate people, like you, are willing to give so that I can stay in my care facility to get the help and expertise I need during the last stage of my life. My wish is to remain here through the end of my life. It's so hard for people with dementia, especially LBD, to change environments.

I know this seems like a large amount but this would take care of only 6 months of my care.

Medicaid facilities will not admit me because of my hallucinations and delusions. My family has tried everything.

Thank you for any help or donations from the bottom of my heart.
