Help Aun Get the Urgent Medical Care He Desperately Needs

Update: we cannot believe the amount that has been donated in just 24 hours, added with other donations outside of GoFundMe, we have raised over 400,000baht. To each and everyone that donated, shared & send their love - you have truly given Aun the best chance at recovery and we are forever grateful. He has now been transferred to a private hospital where he is having scans and the necessary treatment. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone ♥️

It breaks my heart to share that Aun was involved in a serious bike accident on Wednesday, 21st May.

Following the accident, Aun was taken to Pai hospital, where it was discovered that he had a bleed on the right side of his brain. He was shortly transferred by ambulance to Chiang Mai, where he remains in a critical condition.

Without going into too much detail, he has suffered a traumatic brain injury and is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital. Unfortunately, the hospital lacks the resources and equipment necessary to properly monitor and care for his condition. There is no confirmation that the bleed has stopped, and there are no active scans scheduled, no vital monitoring in place, and his condition remains unstable - with his head pain getting worse. We urgently need to transfer him to a hospital where he can receive the level of care he requires.

Please understand this is no criticism of the hospital or its staff, who do their best in very tough circumstances. It’s heartbreaking to see the reality that the quality of care often comes at a price that many cannot afford.

In addition to his injuries, a young girl was hurt and required stitches under her eye. She will need further treatment in Chiang Mai. Aun takes full responsibility and is committed to supporting her medical costs. Even while in and out of consciousness, she has remained one of Aun’s biggest concerns.

Aun is 23 and, although he was born in Chiang Mai, he is Thai-Yai and has never received Thai citizenship or had access to insurance or the basic healthcare that every person deserves.

While much about his condition remains uncertain, the severity of his injuries is clear. With the right care and support, we know Aun has a chance to fully recover.

Anyone who knows Aun understands his true nature - kind, warm, and endlessly giving. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping provide him with the care he needs to recover and supporting the young girl affected by this accident.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and Aun’s too.
