Hey y'all! This fundraiser is for my sweet kitten, Auld Lang Syne, who has been having severe health issues over the last few months.

Update: Lang passed away on Wednesday 9/23 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones after diagnosis revealed a very poor prognosis. This fundraiser remains open to help replenish the cost of his vet bills over the last 4 months to support myself and Princess Walter moving forward. Thank you so much to those who helped ease his suffering (and mine) in his final days. ️

Earlier this summer, and again in September, I had to empty out my savings account to take Lang to get emergency vet care for his life-threatening constipation. Vets have informed me that he has some kind of physical abnormality (possibly illness, possibly congenital) that means this will be a lifelong condition for him. Because of the financial impact of these emergencies, I haven't been able to establish him at a regular vet, where he can get proper diagnostic and preventative care.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise enough money for me to take him in for diagnostic testing (x-rays, blood work, etc) to understand the extent of these issues. It is possible that he will need surgical intervention to the tune of $5-7k, in which case I will need to medically surrender him; it is also possible that these issues may be manageable with lifestyle changes and medication. I won't know for sure until I can afford to pay for a diagnostic workup.

The $1k goal of this GoFundMe is intended to cover a physical exam and thorough diagnostic testing/imaging at a regular vet to determine the extent of Lang's illness, plus transportation costs. Any funds raised in excess of $1k will go towards replenishing my emergency savings, which have been almost fully depleted in the last 6 months due to the exorbitant cost of emergency vet care.

Auld Lang Syne is a perfect angel baby from heaven. He came into my life on New Year's Day, 2026, after he walked into a friends' apartment and refused to leave. From the very first day I brought him home, Lang has been bestest friends with my senior cat, Princess Walter, who has been taking very good care of him during his convalescence. Lang is a crazy boy who loves to do parkour, climb on top of things, follow Walter around, stand on my roof yelling at my neighbors, and kill lanternflies. I care about him very much and hope that he gets to stay part of my family for a very long time. Thank you for helping me make sure he gets the absolute best care possible.
