Hi, my name is Augustus I’m a trans guy and I’ve been out and on testosterone for a little over 6 years at this point. I know the video on this fundraiser says 3 years on T, but that video is a little old. I just think it’s a good video to showcase me being my authentic self so I wanted to have that be what people see when they stumble upon this fundraiser.

This fundraiser however has to do with a different part of my medical transition and that’s top surgery. Top surgery is something I’ve wanted for a very long time, but there have been a lot of obstacles along the way. Those obstacles have mainly been money, time, and support. I finally feel like I’m in a place where I am ready to make the time for this next step, and with my partner by my side, I also feel like I have the love and support I need to make this step. However, surgery is very expensive and that’s where all of you come in. I have spent years looking at surgeons, trying to find the person who will be the best fit for me and my needs. I believe I have found that surgeon, Dr. Steinwald in Denver, CO. Between travel costs, time off from work, and the cost of the surgery itself I am looking at around $20,000 in expenses. I know that’s a lot of money. I also know there’s not a whole lot of money to go around these days, but please know that this surgery will be life-changing for me. It will be the biggest step I have taken so far in my journey to finally feel comfortable in my skin and find a home inside myself.
