Hi there! I’m August, a writer living on the East Coast. It’s past time for me to pursue a legal name change, but the cost of updating my identifying documents, as well as my vehicle title & registration, is prohibitive. Times are tight for everyone, not just me, but if you’re in a position to help out I would be beyond grateful.

I’ve researched projected costs for updating documents in the state where I was born and the state where I currently live, and the amount I’m trying to raise is equivalent. If my total costs come in under $430, I will donate remaining funds to the ACLU to support their work fighting for marginalized groups.
