On behalf of Safeway and Auggie's home store 1757, we are coming together to help raise money during this difficult time in our store director’s life.

In 2021, Auggie Pratti and his family of 5 were faced with a life changing situation when his youngest son was diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma, which is a rare type of tumor in the brain.

After over a year of treatments and thinking that the worst was behind them, another recent scan showed that the tumor has returned.

At only 12 years old, Miguel has already gone through 4 brain surgeries, lost vision in his left eye, lost some physical mobility, among many other complications.

In order to have a fighting chance, Miguel needs to begin a six week treatment process of proton therapy in Southern California.

Not only is this taking a mental and emotional toll on the family, but the treatments are costly and financially draining. We are hoping to help raise money to alleviate some of the stress and anxiety surrounding the financial burden.

Miguel is a sweet boy who loves playing video games, riding his bike, and walking his dog. We all want to see him able to get back to all of these activities and continue to enjoy his childhood.
