Hello,

I am creating this GoFundMe for my best friend, Audrii. Audrii is only 29 years old and during an annual check-up with her GYN a lump was found in her right breast. She was referred to a breast care center where she had her first mammogram, an ultrasound and a biopsy to test tissue samples of the tumor.  On May 19th, she learned she has breast cancer.

Over the next few weeks she went to several appointments to complete additional tests, scans, port placement surgery and more.  An MRI detected a cancerous lymph node under her right arm.  This changed her diagnosis to metastatic breast cancer which means her cancer has the ability to spread to other organs such as her bones, lungs, liver and/or brain.  

On June 4th, she met with her oncologist for the first time, where he explained her cancer is considered to be highly aggressive. Because of this, she will have to undergo chemotherapy through a port on her chest for a minimum of 1 year.  The hope and prayer is that the chemo will kill the cancer cells in her body and she will be cancer free.  

If this was not enough to deal with already, on June 8th, she was called into a mandatory meeting at work. During this meeting, she learned that her job of 4.5 years was downsizing and decided to let go her, and 59 other managers, effective immediately. She not only has to battle cancer, but she is now unemployed and has lost her health coverage.  

With everything she has going on, she is still in great spirits. I know she has an amazing support system, but I wanted to create this on her behalf to help lighten the load. All of her recent and upcoming tests have cost her $250-$500 each, totaling $2000 out of pocket so far. The money raised will help her with her medical bills but also with taking care of her daughter and anything else life brings her way during this process. She is a fighter, and I know she will get through all of this.
