Help a Grieving Mother Say Goodbye to Her Beloved Son

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart on behalf of someone I know and care about. A kind and gentle mother named Audrey recently lost her 44-year-old son, Jeffrey ("J.J.") — a man I also had the pleasure of meeting on many occasions when he would visit his mom in the nursing home where my wife works. They were not just family to each other, but the closest of companions, having faced life’s hardest challenges side by side.

They have both been unhoused for some time, enduring more than most of us can imagine, yet they never lost their warmth, kindness, or grace. This sweet mother is now staying in a nursing home, grieving the loss of her son while managing her own health issues, and with no financial resources to cover his funeral.

I’m asking for your help so we can give her son the respectful and loving farewell he deserves. Any funds raised will go toward his services, and anything beyond that will help support her with basic needs like food and comfort in this incredibly difficult time.
