Hey there, I’m Audrey

This is really hard for me to write, and honestly pretty embarrassing. I’ve gone back and forth for a long time on whether to even say anything, but I’ve reached a point where I don’t know what else to do.

Over the past few months, things have piled up faster than I could recover. I had an emergency surgery during Christmas week, Jonas had surgery not long before that, and now my car is in the shop needing repairs that aren’t covered by my warranty. I’ve always worked hard to stay on top of my responsibilities and pay my bills on time (or early), and I’ve done everything I can to manage my finances responsibly. But these unexpected expenses have pushed me past what I can handle on my own.

When I was laid off, I survived on severance and credit cards, and while I’ve been back to work since November, I’m still trying to recover from that period. The last thing I want to do is take on more debt through loans or additional credit cards. I was encouraged to start a GoFundMe, but I resisted for a long time because I truly believe in paying my own way and have never been someone who asks for help, even from family.

But I’m at a point where this feels like my last option.
