My name is Audrey, and I’m reaching out because I recently became the victim of a rental scam that has left me in a really difficult place. I was searching for a new place to live when a woman contacted me, saying she had a rental available. She seemed genuine and helpful, so I trusted her and sent a deposit and first month’s rent through Chime. After sending the money, I realized it was a scam. Losing my savings has not only crippled me financially, but it’s also made it hard for me to trust people again.

Right now, I do have a place to stay temporarily, but I’m still struggling with upcoming bills and the need to find a permanent home. I’m determined to move forward and find a safe, reliable place to live, this time using reputable sources like Zillow or a rental company so I don’t fall victim to another scam.
