Help Audrey fighting her 2d Brain Tumor

Donation protected
Audrey is a 37 y.o. strong woman who is now facing brain tumor for the second time. After an unexpected and shocking night seizure in September 2021, she was admitted to the ER in the middle of the night and kept for a couple of days at the hospital. In October 2021, she was diagnosed with Brain tumor (WHO II oligodendroglioma) and the tumor was removed in November 2021 during brain surgery. In December 2021, she is now starting a 36 weeks chemotherapy.

This is not the first time, Audrey goes through this life changing event. In 2002, 20 years ago, she met with many doctors at that time, who told her she may never be able to walk again and may stay paralyzed, making her fear to live in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. All of this while she was applying for college and starting to live. Against all odds, she was able to walk again after the surgery and faced with courage 30 consecutive days of radiotherapy and 18 months of chemotherapy.

Now after her second surgery, She is doing well but initially it was not that easy. It can be hard to imagine the trauma when one decides to stand up and its leg does not respond to its intention. It is an entire process to learn how to walk again and heal the neural connection damaged from the tumor. Simple things like walking by yourself, taking a shower or all the things we previously took for granted suddenly become a new thing to learn and a new challenge.

Her strength and courage are admirable, she never gave up and she was able to recover most of her abilities.

Now that she is starting her chemotherapy, many doctors and nurses are surprised to see a smile on her face but this is her way to tell to cancer “you did not win last time, and you will even less this time, I am not afraid of you”.
Of course, it is important for Audrey to focus on her health and remove any preoccupation from her mind, so the chemotherapy can be successful. So we need your help to cover medical bills and any unexpected expenses associated her treatment and recovery over the next 36 weeks. The funds will be used to make sure she can be worry free and focus on fighting cancer for the best prognosis possible with her Chemotherapy.

Thank you and god bless. “Ad Astra per Aspera”
