Help Frontline Healthcare Worker Fight Cancer

When Go-Health announced they were looking for health care practitioners to run multiple COVID-19 clinics throughout the Bay Area, 43 year old Auden Schraeder was one of the first to volunteer.

After nearly 5 months of working in COVID-19 Testing centers, he started experiencing mild headaches and fatigue. While at work on July 1st, Auden’s headache became debilitating and he began vomiting and having vision issues.

His girlfriend drove him to the hospital and anxiously waited outside, expecting him to come back with a positive COVID test…instead a brain scan revealed a 6cm mass that was later diagnosed as a Grade IV, Glioblastoma (GBM), a particularly aggressive and incurable brain cancer that, without treatment, has a life expectancy of 3-6  months.

Luckily, Auden is in the care of one of the top ranked, most prestigious Neurosurgery/neuro-oncology teams in the world (at UCSF) and is recovering well from a recent surgery to remove his tumor.

While Auden is fighting, and fighting with a smile on his face and guitar in his hands, this GoFundMe was created as a way to relieve some amount of financial pressure from these unexpected costs.

Your help, whether it's a donation, spreading the word, sending best wishes, or all of  the above, is greatly appreciated by Auden, his family and loved ones!
