Aubrey is a vibrant 25-year-old who was living life to the fullest. She loved her job as a receptionist, had graduated from high school, and earned her associate’s degree. Everything changed in 2024 when she was prescribed Auvelity for depression. Shortly after starting the medication, Aubrey developed a twitch that quickly progressed to constant pain, muscle spasms, and a loss of control over her body. She can no longer drive, feed herself, bathe, or even write a full sentence. Her independence has been taken from her, and she is now unable to work.

Aubrey’s pain is so severe that it has caused her to lose a drastic amount of weight, as eating has become nearly impossible. She often goes days without sleep because the pain is unbearable. She has fallen multiple times and suffers from constant body, shoulder, and back pain. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Aubrey and her loved ones have sought answers from doctors across Louisiana, undergoing countless tests, scans, and specialist visits. Despite being told she might have tardive dyskinesia and cervical dystonia, her true diagnosis remains uncertain. The pain and symptoms persist, and emergency room visits have become a regular part of her life.

Now, Aubrey is preparing to travel to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, in hopes of finally finding answers and relief.
