Help Aubrey Fight Against Juvenile Arthritis
Donation protected
Aubrey Hill is an 8 year old little girl who is battling Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, an autoimmune disease that affects the joints and other organs such as the lungs, liver, and heart. Due to this disease, her immune system is weak and she struggles to fight off common illnesses, such as the flu or the common cold. Viruses one may view as minor can lead to hospitalization for her.
With this disease, Aubrey is required to have extensive testing, such as, MRIs, CT scans and X-rays. She takes multiple medications on a daily basis and receives infusions monthly. She is also required to have blood work completed monthly to monitor her medications’ potential effect on her organs.
Recently, Aubrey was hospitalized at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for several days with the flu. Aubrey has also been experiencing a fever that has been constant and ongoing for many months. In order to reduce exposure, she has been removed from public school.
Aubrey is a fighter, just like her parents, Brian and Christina. Currently, they are struggling to provide and maintain everyday expenses such as basic necessities and bills. Aubrey’s medical bills are quickly accumulating and proving to be too much to handle for them alone. Even with the assistance of medical insurance, they are facing an astronomical financial burden with no solution or imminent end in sight. To put Aubrey’s needs into perspective, each monthly infusion, after insurance, is roughly $1,500 out of pocket. Her parents have reached out to several organizations for help, however, they were placed on a waiting list.
All donations will go towards medical expenses for Aubrey. Please help us allow Brian, Christina, Aubrey, and her brother, Nickolas, to place their focus on helping Aubrey toward recovery, rather than on the financial burden of medical bills.
Your help would be a miracle to the Hill family.
