Hey everyone! I know many of you are familiar with my family dynamic. My oldest kiddo in the house, Aubree, has really excelled in band the last two years. This year, she got nominated by her band director for a national band program this summer in New York. This opportunity would allow her to work under world-renowned directors and perform at Carnegie Hall! She has to submit an audition recording and go through a very lengthy audition process. Well, we found out today that she officially got into the program. The downside is, it’s pricey. Tuition is $3400 and that’s not including plane tickets and food while she is there. Nor does it include anyone going with her. I think the price after everything will be close to $6000. This is something that would be so amazing for her and help her move forward with her dreams of being a band director one day. Not to mention, an amazing experience for any young musician.
