Aubree’s Cancer Has Returned

I’m writing this on behalf of Aubree and her family.
Thank you to the many who have continued to pray for Aubree and our family. And a huge thank you to those who were also able to donate financially. Up until last week, Aubree was doing great! She finished her last round of treatment and doctor’s stated she was in remission, AGAIN! We were elated! We celebrated! We also knew the cancer would return, but had no idea it would return so soon.
Last week, Aubree began to complain of leg pain in the same location as her previous tumor. She had a clinic appointment on Monday and while playing on the hospital playground, her leg broke. After scans and labs, doctors indicated she had elevated levels and new activity. In essence, her remission was over and her fight would continue.
Because this is now now the third time, doctors must change the treatment plan. One option is a radiation therapy in San Francisco. This treatment includes isolating Aubree from family and friends in a lead-lined room for 7 days at a time. The thought of this breaks the hearts of each family member, especially her parents. Another option is to start Aubree on a high dose of alternative medicine, but it is not covered by insurance. Each treatment is approximately $500.
I am asking you to help ease the financial burden this family continues to incur. The money donated goes directly to cover expenses related to treatment, as well as basic cost of living for Matt, Jen and the rest of their children. It is my hope you will stand alongside this brave little girl as she continues to fight for her life and allow her family to experience the love and support your gift will offer.
