Support Special Needs Pup Atticus!

Atticus is a Staffordshire Terrier and English Bulldog mix who was born on March 12, 2023. Atticus was born with a spinal defect in the L6 and L7 area. This has led to lameness in his back legs and incontinence. He can not walk and uses a wheelchair to get around. Atticus was taken in by a rescue called The Little Red Dog and lives in Southern California with his foster mom, Jenn. He has spent over a year looking for his forever home. Atticus has been waiting for a forever family and the opportunity has finally come!!

A family in Rhode Island is going to adopt Atticus. Laura and Kenny love him already and he will even have a bulldog brother named Bailey! The one challenge is the distance involved in bringing Atticus home, from California to Rhode Island. His new family, rescue and foster have been busy researching transportation and have exhausted many options.

Then something amazing happened! Atticus’s foster mom Jenn has offered to drive Atticus across the country and meet up with his new family. Of course this comes with a variety of expenses and that is why we are asking for your help.

In addition to this, Atticus has outgrown his wheelchair and will need a new one. Jenn is currently working with Eddie’s Wheels for Pets to design a special cart for Atticus that will suit his unique needs. Ideally he would have this new wheelchair ready when he arrives at his forever home.

The following is a breakdown of the expenses involved in both transportation and the wheelchair:

Hotels for 4 nights: $600

Minivan rental: $800

Gas: $450

Flights: $675

Meals: $250

Wheelchair: $675

Tolls: $50
