Athena Nyx was born April 8th, 2017.
We just recently found out that her head is malformed due to sleeping on her back. The back right side of her skull is flat, while the front left of her forehead protrudes due to the back being so flat. It doesn't look bad at all but her hair covers a lot of it. It's very common and some cases aren't as bad as others but little Athena is marked under the severe category meaning she desperately needs a head band or a "baby helmet" so that her brain and skull form to the shape they are supposed to. Her dad works his butt off every single day but the roof over our head takes 98% of the check, utilities takes 1% and formula takes the other 1% and sometimes we don't even have enough for formula but thank god, we make it work some how. we just don't have the extra money to pay for Athena's band. Our insurance will not cover it for us no matter how many times we beg and plead. Please help us raise money for Athenas helmet so she can start treatment as soon as possible.
