Help Athena Get Back Home to Jocelynn

Ruff! Hi guys! My names Athena Soto!

I’m a Border Collie Mix. I’m currently 8 years old turning 9 November. Recently I got very very sick. My mom (Jocelynn Soto) had to take me to the VCA-ER. After some bloodwork and EKG we were told I wasn’t going to make it. I needed a Pyometra surgery that was going to cost over $5k.

Our options from VCA-ER was to fully pay upfront the

$5k surgery that’s offered by them. Or We could also see if we got accepted into Kinder4Rescue they’re only open Weekdays. Lastly was just put me down :(

My hooman paid the doctors to send me home with some medication to keep me stabile since I got really sick Friday Night.(Kinda worked but I started throwing up the last day)

Thankfully early Monday morning we got to Kinder4Rescue and I’m so grateful they were able to save my life. I was immediately brought into surgery. I’m going to make a slow recovery but Doc said I’m going to do great!

My mom is a great hooman who loves me very very much. I help out my mom too when she gets her anxiety attacks. That’s why I need your help!

Ive already had to visit the doctor about 3 times this month due to check ups and seasonal allergies. I know it was expensive for my hooman even though she won’t tell me.

My surgery cost $2,000. My owner was able to pay off 75% but still needs a little help to make sure everything is fully paid off. I get to go home on 6/2/25. If I stay longer than the 2 days moms paying for , they will charge an extra $300 a night.

So if you can, please help. Send me home to my mom and family. Promise to play fetch with you once I go home. 

All funds collected go for the rest of the medical expenses. Gofundme was not letting Jocelynn link her bank so Jonathan is a beneficiary until I get this resolved. Anything helps ❤️
