Introduction

My name is Ata, and I am driven by a single mission: accelerating the global transition to regenerative agriculture.

I am currently an MBA candidate at UC Davis’ Graduate School of Management. Here, I am developing Simply Bee Farms, an agricultural financial technology venture designed to empower farmers by connecting them with the institutional capital they need to adopt sustainable, life-giving practices.

The Vision

Our planet is warmer than it has been in 250 years, since the start of the Industrial Revolution. Farmers are already feeling the effects of climate change; they need to adopt business models that make them more resilient to extreme weather, but they often lack the technical know-how and the funding. Meanwhile, corporations want to offset carbon emissions but struggle to find credible, trustworthy projects.

The Solution

We are designing a dual-interface platform that solves both sides of this equation:

For Farmers: A digital agronomist and capital access platform.

For Firms: A transparent measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) platform.

Simply put, the firm pays the farm to go green.

The Challenge

I have reached a critical juncture. Due to unexpected student loan eligibility requirements, I am facing a funding gap that puts my ability to finish the program, and launch this venture, in immediate jeopardy. I’ve received positive feedback from world-class business and academic leaders who believe in this mission and have validated the business model. This isn't just about a degree; it’s about the viability of a project dedicated to ecological restoration and financial sustainability for our food systems.
