There is an asylum seeker in Melbourne who was a licensed, board-registered medical doctor (GP) in his country of origin, but he needs to take an exam in Australia in order to continue to practise medicine.

The CAT MCQ exam costs $2720, and this crowdfund is to cover the cost of that**.

If you would consider helping, I would be incredibly grateful. This is the only workable, long-term solution for this family in terms of their most basic security. They have two children, and Dad really needs to be able to do the work he's qualified for.

**UPDATE: on recommendations from members of the medical community, I have increased the crowdfund so we can purchase this course for him, which will give him the best chance at passing the exam and integrating seamlessly into Australian medicine.
