Help the UCR Astronomy Club Reach for the Stars

The Astronomy Club at UC Riverside is dedicated to making the wonders of the night sky accessible to everyone — from our fellow students to the wider Riverside community. Every quarter, we host free stargazing nights, social events, and educational activities that inspire curiosity and bring people together under the stars.

But to keep growing and providing unforgettable experiences, we need your help.

Our current equipment is limited, and while we’ve made the most of it, we’re ready to take the next step. With your support, we hope to purchase two key additions to our collection:

Seestar Smart Telescope – a compact, smart imaging telescope that will let us capture breathtaking images of deep-sky objects in real time, making astronomy more interactive and accessible.

12-Inch Dobsonian Celestron Telescope – a powerful telescope perfect for direct, awe-inspiring views of galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters that our members and community can experience with their own eyes.

These tools will not only enhance our public stargazing nights but also allow us to host larger club-funded trips and educational programs, giving students the chance to explore astronomy more deeply than ever before.
