Hello, my name is Nick. My family and I are trying to raise money for our one-year-old puppy, Astrid, who turned one on Halloween.

On 11/05/25, she was hit by a car in front of our house at about 2:45 pm. A good person stopped so that no other cars would hit her, then another guy came and helped put her in a splint. We then brought her to the Como Animal Hospital as quickly as we could drive. At the hospital, I tried to stay strong for my family as our puppy was in the back getting looked at. While Lorraine, Dorothy, James, and I waited in the waiting room to hear from the vet, we were told that Astrid had a small lung puncture and her left rear foot was broken. They put a new splint on her leg and gave her an I.V. drip.

At the end of her appointment, they told us to go to Mission Animal Hospital the next morning. At Mission, Astrid received more x-rays, and we were told she has 3 fractures on her pelvis and all of her toes are broken in that foot. She needs surgery to fix her pelvis and her toes so they can heal properly and reduce complications.
