This almost seems absolutely unreal to type out. And it's equally feeling insane to even think about.
My two sons of 18 years, brothers from the same litter, both have been diagnosed with cancer, and their health has been swiftly dwindling the past couple of weeks. I have confirmed with the vet that there is nothing else I can do. After sleeping on it, I've come to decision that I would like them to be peacefully and humanely euthanized at home. This will ensure that they can both be in a comfortable space in my arms when they pass together. There would be no need for them to freak out on the car ride to the vet, and equally so, not having me sobbing and being expected to drive home afterwards.
They will then be cremated together, and put in the same urn for me to display on the mantle in my apartment. I love my boys so fucking much and they have given me so much these past 18 years, practically a quarter of my life. I fucking hate all of this, but I'm trying to honor them and respect them the best way I can.
As all of you know - I am a broke ass bitch - and there's no way I can afford this without assistance. I will do my very best to pay people back if they need it, otherwise I supremely appreciate your generosity. Anything over the goal of the $1200 will go to buying food and toys for the two remaining boys in my life, Binx and his new baby brother Cheese. I want them to feel all the love after this. Especially Binx, he's going to probably be pretty depressed after this. He's known both Aspen and Gizmo since he was 5 months old. But I do hope Cheese can keep him company.
Thank you everyone for your help and understanding during this time. I'm kind of just on autopilot dissociated and just trying to keep on trucking during this.
TL;DR - $1200 is a little over the required cost from the mobile vet, Lap of Love. $695 will cover the humane euthanization to both the boys at home, and then $430 will cover the cost of them being cremated together and put in an urn together. And any leftover funds will go to the two remaining boys Binx and Cheese (photo of them below) to give them all the love after this.
Thank you everyone. I love you.
