Please can you help Jason Rebuild after a Apartment Fire & Layoff!!

Hi, my name is Jason Colton, and I’m reaching out with deep humility and hope. After surviving a lightning-induced apartment fire during Hurricane Beryl in July 2024, losing everything I owned, and recently being laid off, I’m facing eviction despite doing everything I can to stay afloat.

⚡ What Happened:

During the storm, a lightning bolt struck a transformer 10 feet outside my window in Nassau Bay, Texas.

It surged through the electrical system and started a kitchen fire in my apartment.

As a former Texas Fire Marshal, I used my training to put out the fire myself with some help from my neighbor, Thank you Lord for him and his fire extinguisher, saving the building—but my apartment and everything in it was a total loss.

I lost all of my belongings (valued at approximately $20K) and had no renters insurance at the time.

Due to mold, asbestos, and electrical damage, I was told not to return.

I lived in motels for almost 9 months using every dollar (my savings account) I had.

In February 2025, I finally got a new apartment—but was laid off back in March( have been doing side jobs etc. since then just to scrape by), and now I’ve fallen behind on everything so that is why I am asking for help.

—Right now I am going to food pantries, applying for jobs daily, and trying to hold on. I have job prospects with Axiom Space and in cybersecurity, but I need emergency help to get over this last mountain.

How Funds Will Be Used:

Rent and eviction prevention for August/September 2025.

Basic needs (clothes, food, hygiene, etc.)

Job-seeking support

✅ I Have Full Documentation:

Fire & arson reports

Police report

Motel records

Photos of the damage

Proof of layoff and job applications

If you can help in any amount, I promise it will come back to you tenfold. I’m a good worker, a faithful man, and just trying to rebuild after an incredibly tough year.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and caring.
