Help Aslan Beat Stage 4 Cancer!

Many of you will already know that Aslan was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on 5/21 of this year. At the time of diagnosis, we discovered the colon cancer had spread to his liver, with multiple tumors appearing on his CT scan. As you can imagine, this diagnosis came as a scary shock to our whole family, but we’ve remained positive and are sure we will beat this health crisis and he’ll be even stronger in the long run.
Immediately after his diagnosis, Aslan decided to take leave from his job at Amazon so that he could focus on getting treatments, improving his mental and physical well-being, and spending quality time with his family. Aslan decided to take an integrative approach to his treatments and attack the cancer in a targeted fashion while also supporting his overall immune system to help avoid some of the intense side effects that can happen with traditional cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.
After four months of treatment including 10 rounds of chemo, we received really positive results from his latest CT scans which showed that many of the original liver tumors either reducing greatly in size or being eliminated altogether. While we still have much work to do to remove the remaining tumors on his liver and eradicate the colon cancer, we are so thankful to know his body is responding well thus far.
While we are sure this approach was the right way to go for Aslan and his health journey, and are so thankful for the progress we’ve seen thus far, unfortunately insurance has not yet approved coverage for any of the treatments as they are not following the “traditional standard of care” (which is heavy chemo, radiation, and surgery). We’ve been fortunate enough to be able to access savings thus far to cover the out of pocket expenses which have already exceeded $100k over the first 5 months but with Aslan not working, it’s definitely becoming a burden.
In addition to continuing the treatments described above, Aslan’s doctor has recommended he enroll in a new clinical trial for Neo7Logix - a custom/personalized peptide formulation which effectively will teach his immune system how to find and kill his specific cancer cells. They are currently enrolling the second round of trials for this treatment, and there are good indications this could fully eradicate Aslan’s cancer, with expected success probabilities far surpassing traditional methods. The downside is that this treatment costs $100k and needs to be paid up front due to the fact that we are manufacturing a personalized treatment based on Aslan’s tumor genetics.
We are reaching out to our friends to help fundraise to help pay for the cost of this treatment. Any help we receive will allow us to continue using our savings for his current treatments at the clinic, which will continue while he's on the Neo7Logix peptide trial.
