Help Asim alOmari’s family during this tragedy

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

It is with great sadness to announce that our dear brother, Asem AlOmari, has passed away. Asem was beloved member of our community at Islamic Center of Hawthorne and a caring father to his four children. Nothing brought him more joy than having his kids around him.

He was a man who was loved by the community and especially by his friends. Throughout these troubling times his friends never left his side which is a testament to how much they loved him and how important he was in their lives

In May of 2022, Asem suffered a tragic hemorrhagic stroke that kept him in the hospital and a rehab center for months. But by the will of Allah he managed to slowly recover and learn how to navigate his struggles after his stroke. Even after losing some function on his left side, he remained resilient in regaining his strength and continue to recover.

In this past June, Asem endured another hemorrhagic stroke. After a week in Hospitalization in the intensive care unit, Asem was unable to recover. He returned to his Creator on June 25th, leaving behind his four children Omar, Rayan, Noor, and Reem.

Now his son Omar is responsible for taking care of his mother and 3 sisters. While Omar is like his father a hardworking and caring man inheriting the responsibility of taking care of his family has not been easy. Any support in this time will be needed for rent and necessities while this family gets back on their feet inshaaAllah.

This GoFundMe is set up by friends of the Omari family, any funds raised will go to the family to pay for any expenses during these troubling times.
