Help Asif Siddique's Family Transport Him Back Home to India

I'm Farha, Asif Siddique's wife. Asif is not only a brilliant software engineer but also a dedicated husband and father. Just last year, our family was joyfully reunited in Southern California— my husband, myself, and our two children, Ariz (9) and Zara (5). We were filled with dreams as we began our new life together, eager to explore this beautiful country. However, our joy was short-lived. Asif unexpectedly developed acute pancreatitis shortly after our reunion. His condition quickly worsened, and he was hospitalized in the ICU under an induced coma. After months at Los Robles Hospital and UCLA Medical Center, Asif is now receiving care at Kindred Hospital in Los Angeles. Sadly, his recovery still has no definitive timeline.
Our family has made the heart-wrenching decision to transfer Asif back to India. We believe that being surrounded by the love and support of our family, including his aging father and sister, will provide hope and the care he needs. However, transferring a critically ill patient internationally is complex and exceedingly costly. We're reaching out to raise funds for his medical transport and ongoing care in India. This challenging journey will carry significant financial implications that our family is struggling to manage.
The last 20 months have deeply impacted us both emotionally and financially. Unable to work due to my spousal visa status, we've survived through the grace of God and the incredible generosity of Asif's former colleagues, friends, community members, and many anonymous donors who supported our previous GoFundMe campaigns. I'm eternally grateful for this kindness.
With humility, I am asking for your help one final time. Your generosity will not only help cover the costs of Asif’s medical transport but will also allow him to continue his treatment at home, where he can be surrounded by those who love him most. Thank you so much for your continued support, kindness, and prayers. Each gesture, big or small, lights our path through this difficult journey.
Warm regards,
Farha Siddique
