Help Asia Walk Again: Support Her Surgery
Donazione protetta
I am Asia’s mom, and I adopted Asia 3 months ago from the MDC Animal Shelter. She spent 485 days in the shelter, but she is now so happy in her furever home!
After a bath, Asia had the zoomies. She jumped on the bed, and then when she jumped off, she began limping. After a lengthy vet visit, it was determined that she has a torn ACL. It was also diagnosed that she has hip dysplasia, which is mild and common to her breed. However, having hip dysplasia and a torn ACL together can cause many other problems. A torn ACL can never heal on its own. It will require therapeutic medicine and most likely will turn arthritic. The veterinarian has recommended that Asia have surgery to repair the ACL. We were not expecting this to happen and are not financially capable of paying for her surgery on our own.
I wish I didn't have to create this GoFundMe because I would rather have a healthy furbaby than an injured baby girl. Asia is only four years old. She has a long life ahead of her. This surgery will give her a new knee.
Every little bit helps; it adds up. While we have some sponsors that will also help with the costs, we must do our part too. Asia will need to be on medication and therapy. Even if we don’t move forward with the surgery, she most likely will need medication for the rest of her life.
