My name is Asia, and my boyfriend Adam and I live in Swannanoa, NC.

We lost our house in the historic flooding from Hurricane Helene on September 27, 2024.

The profile pic is a picture of the end of our road going to our house after the water started receding.

My friend Rach suggested I make a GoFundMe page. We have a long road ahead of us to pick up the pieces of the brokenness of our life.

We have to find a place to live and get all of our house and personal things replaced. I am so grateful we are alive and safe. Our pet loves as well.

Never thought this much destruction from a hurricane could happen in our sweet Blue Ridge home, but it did ….. so here we are. Taking it one moment at a time.

Around 4:30 am on September 29,2024 NC was declared a federal disaster. So now FEMA claims can be made. We have filed one and had an inspector by as well. We will see how much assistance we can get from that.

So much devastation and loss for all of our communities!!
