Hey everyone! 5 days ago our sweet pup Ashton woke up and ate breakfast as normal, but immediately after began throwing up. He has yet to eat or drink since and has continued throwing up so after 3 days we became very concerned and brought him to the emergency vet. They gave him fluids because he was severely dehydrated and lethargic and did bloodwork/X-rays. The concern was that he has a blockage somewhere in his GI tract, and though the tests came back normal there was still a chance something had been missed. Ashton was discharged and we were told to keep a very close eye on him.. the following day I was worried because he didn’t seem even remotely better so we brought him back. Tuesday night he spent the night at the emergency vet and was given fluids again for severe dehydration and medication for nausea. They called later that night and said he seemed to be doing better but they would keep an eye on him all night. This morning we received a call saying he was throwing up again, even though he hasn’t ate still, and has been receiving very strong nausea medication. They advised us to do an ultrasound to see how his GI tract was working, we immediately approved the procedure and are currently waiting for the results. The next step would be exploratory surgery to find the blockage, which looks like is almost surely the problem. Unfortunately we do not have insurance for Ashton and have paid out of pocket for all expenses so far. If I was working, it would be a different story, but I stay home with our babies. Just looking for a little help to take some pressure off of Michael, he works so hard for our family. If you can, please consider donating so we can get Ashton the care he needs. Anything helps…Thank you! ❤️❤️
