Help Ashton receive a wheelchair ramp!
Donation protected

We are asking for help to purchase and install a wheelchair ramp for Ashton to have access to our home.
Ashton is a lovely 17 year old boy. He has a rare condition called Cardio-facio-cutaneous syndrome. He attends high school in North Vancouver BC.
He has six siblings and is often the star of the show!
Ashton will soon be graduating and the transition to adult life has already begun. Ashton will require full time care in home and that requires big changes for us all.
In preparing for the next stage of Ashton's life, the conversation and planning around in home care has taken priority in our managment of his needs. Up until this point Dad had been the one to carry him to and from the house. This has not been ideal but it has gotten us through, and has worked.
The time has come to ensure more appropriate access is in place.
For care to be provided in home full time, a care giver must have a way to safely maneuver him to and from the house for appoitments and community outings. We will also need an emergency exit in place.
The ramp would also allow Ashton to be picked up and dropped off by the school bus, and have before and after school care, as part of the transition from no outside care to full time care.
We are hard working individuals and budget consciuos. We have a large family and the cost of raising our children and supporting our family leaves us unable to afford the cost of having this ramp installed.
We are reaching out now in a hopes of having the ramp in place by September. Ashton can then start with the school bus and part time care for his last year of school.
To each of you that read this campaign, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read. Thank you for your consideration in helping and thank you for being a part on continuing to provide the best care and life we can for our beloved little man.
