New Update July 13ᵗʰ 2025 (ty..for your support )

Dear friends and supporters, Ashtin here for an update I’m a 36-year-old from Fontana, California, standing firm in faith through life’s challenges. I’m reaching out for your support to stabilize my life and continue serving children through my passion for theater education.
My journey has been tough. I left high school to care for my mother as she passed, setting me on a difficult path. I was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studios until that role ended. I drove for DoorDash to make ends meet, but my driver’s license expired on my birthday, pausing that income. I tried odd jobs in the community, but one led to a violent attack where I was drugged and robbed, resulting in an 8-day hospital stay and a week in a behavioral center for recovery and detox. Released on July 2, 2025, I’m focused on healing and rebuilding.
Financially, I’m under pressure. My 2010 Toyota Prius, critical for work, was damaged in an accident on May 19, 2025, leaving the driver’s side door crumpled with dents and scratches. I’ve made progress on repairs: I replaced the car’s battery to keep it running, but the door still needs a replacement from a junkyard, estimated at $200-$300 including installation, after my uncle and I tried and failed to pull out the dents. Fortunately, I was able to get a new battery drastically reducing my originally $3000max to about $500 max I’m so so, grateful I’m two months behind on rent ($2,000), owe $400 on phone and utility bills (due next week), and faced car repossession. Thanks to the generosity of family and friends, I made one car payment, avoiding repossession for now, and paid down my phone and utility bills, allowing my service to be restored, but the next payment arrangement is due next Tuesday. I need two more car payments by July 16 and July 25 ($1,200) to secure a deferment plan. Philippians 4:13 anchors my resolve: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
I’m building a future with purpose. In June 2025, I secured an ID at the DMV and applied for an EBT card for essentials. My friend Sarah connected me with a social worker—thank you, Sarah—for additional support. Community assistance and emergency medical help have been blessings, and I’m deeply grateful. I used to struggle alone, but I’ve learned to accept help with gratitude, not humiliation.
Funds raised so far have covered; new car battery food and hygiene and my REAL California ID card, which I’m awaiting. I’m seeking safe odd jobs—yard work, dog walking, dance/acting lessons—through trusted sources like churches or theater families and friends to stay cautious after the attack.
My heart is in theater education, inspiring young minds through the arts. I’m set to teach elementary students, directing Jr. shows like Finding Nemo Jr. and Madagascar Jr., with approval expected in Aug/Sept 2025-2026 school year. I found purpose in of launching a theatre arts program for kids to learn how to express themselves through music, art, community, they way I found with all of you! Thank you Joesph for continually mentorship and guidance and support. I’m trusting in God’s plan in Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Fundraising Goal
I’m aiming to raise $5,500 to address immediate needs, cover medical costs from the attack, and support my theater education goals.
