Help Ashraf go to medical school

Donation protected
Last year, I met someone whose story changed my life. Meet Ashraf. He immigrated to the US from Egypt and graduated from the top of his class at UCLA, delivering the commencement address to his peers after taking off several years so he could work to finance his younger sister’s (Heidi) college education. His story broke my heart when I learned that he had gotten into medical school at Georgetown University.
The problem was, Ashraf couldn’t afford his tuition. And Ashraf wasn’t the only one.
The year before, his younger sister Heidi had gotten into medical school at Georgetown, but she, too, couldn’t afford her tuition. She had already lost hope in being able to afford the expensive schooling it takes to become a doctor here in the States, and when I brought Heidi’s story to the attention of my incredible clients @marjorie_harvey and @iamsteveharveytv , they did something I would never forget.
“ we got this,” they said. “We’ll pay her tuition.”

In complete shock, I asked them to repeat themselves, but without batting an eye, these two individuals exemplified a quality of selflessness and generosity that made Heidi’s American dream become a reality. When heidi told the Harveys she would repay them by treating them the rest of their lives, they politely declined, instead telling Heidi that one day, when she is in a position to pay it forward, that’s how she would repay them. The Harveys’ actions moved me beyond words, and they changed Heidi’s life forever. Now, I feel it is my time to help change Ashraf’s life forever, but I can’t do it without your help. Even though Ashraf applied for student loans, he was denied because of his citizenship status. After living in poverty, after fleeing his home country, after persevering through so many hardships, Ashraf’s dreams had been deferred because of circumstances beyond his control, circumstances that were simply not fair for someone who truly deserved the chance to become a physician so much. I have set up a GoFundMe. Together, we can help someone become a physician who can save so many lives. Please, join me in helping make a possibility become a reality.
