On the morning of Thursday, June 9, 2022, an electrical fire destroyed a house on Hele street in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii.
This residence was home to the Young family since it was built in the 1960's. Our friend,
Ashlyn Young, and her siblings grew up in this house on Hele street, raised their children in
this home and it was the hub of many church, community and family gatherings.
Ashlyn cared for her parents here and even after they both had passed, she continued to live and lovingly upkeep her childhood home.
Throughout the years and because of the immeasurable love and generosity Ashlyn and her family have always given to everyone they know (and even those they don’t!), this house has been the home to so many others - friends, church peers, visitors from other countries....everyone was family in the Hele street home.
Fortunately, everyone who resided in the house, including the family pets, got out safely and no one was injured. But tragically, all of Ash and her family's belongings, memories and all of her life's work as a health and life coach, were destroyed by this relentless blaze.
