Ashlyn and her husband Matthew moved into their home earlier this year, excited to make it their own. They poured their energy into renovations and furnishing, working hard to create a comfortable space. Tragically, this weekend a fire swept through their home. The damage from ash, soot, water, and asbestos from the insulation has left them with nothing. They lost all of their belongings, including the clothes they need for work. Both Ashlyn and Matthew work full time, and Ashlyn is also a dedicated student at Rose State.
The sudden loss has been overwhelming and while they do have a small renter's insurance policy, it is barely enough to cover the ruined electronics and appliances that need replaced. hey need immediate support to get through the coming weeks for clothing, toiletries, temporary housing and other things they need to begin the rebuilding process.
As a parent, it is heartbreaking to watch your child face such devastation. Having had to start over myself in the past five years, I know how hard it is, and I am not in a position to help them financially. I am reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who can help—any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. We would also be deeply grateful for your prayers as we navigate this difficult process. We know that God is in control and we are so thankful that everyone made it out safely. Thank you for your kindness and support.
