Help Ashlyn Heal After a Serious Car Accident
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Eliza Patton and I want to thank you for taking the time to read about Ashlyn’s story.
I met Ashlyn last year while I was searching for a midwife to deliver my youngest daughter at home. She was such a blessing to me and my family. Over the last year, our two families have bonded and grown together. We are truly devastated to hear about her accident.
On May 6th, on her way to work, Ashlyn Sconyers—beloved wife, mother of 3, and midwife—was involved in a devastating head-on collision car accident. She was rushed to the University of Michigan hospital with multiple injuries. Thankfully, she is now at home recovering. While we are grateful she is alive and stable after such a horrific accident, her road to healing will be long and it will not be easy.
Ashlyn is a truly amazing and caring woman, known for her compassion, selflessness, comforting presence, and motherly nature. Ashlyn’s many injuries have made it impossible for her to work or care for her family in the ways she normally does. As a midwife, she pours her heart into serving women and families. She is always carrying her birth bags, laptop, and equipment with her. Tragically, many of these tools were damaged or destroyed in the crash, along with the total loss of her vehicle.
We are humbly asking for support during this time of recovery.
Your donation will help the Sconyers family with:
• Meal support while Ashlyn is unable to cook
• Lost income from missed work
• Replacing essential midwifery tools and her damaged work computer
• Ongoing medical expenses and therapy for pain management and healing
This accident has not only affected Ashlyn physically—it’s shaken the entire foundation of the family she so lovingly supports. Any gift, large or small, will ease the burden and allow her to focus on rest, healing, and being present with her children and husband.
We also welcome your prayers during this time, especially for:
• Pain management
• Full healing without infection or complications
and that the follow-up on her fractured hand doesn’t warrant surgery
• Financial provision and peace for the Sconyers family
Thank you for surrounding Ashlyn and her family with your love, prayer, and generosity. They are so thankful for all the gracious support.
