Help Ashlin and Cameron get back on their feet

My name is Holly McCreary and my fiancee is Jessica Lozeau. I am raising money on behalf of Jessica's/our niece, Ashlin, who Jess has raised and been the primary guardian for most of her life, and Ashlin's boyfriend Cameron, who has been living here for the past 3 months on a travel visa from the UK.

On Friday night, March 4th, 2022, a fire broke out in the camper Ashlin and Cameron lived on her grandmother's property. This fire started in the front of the camper, likely due to a space heater, and quickly engulfed the entire structure in seconds. Fortunately, they were able to make it out safely. Had they been in the bedroom, located in the back of the camper, they might not have been so lucky.

Unfortunately, ALL of their personal belongings were destroyed entirely. Many items were family heirlooms, precious childhood items, photos and videos on laptops that cannot be replaced, for which they are absolutely devastated. But the remaining things CAN be replaced. And that is why we are humbly asking for your help. They walked away with the clothes on their backs, nothing else. They lost all of their clothing, laptops, personal care items, etc. Fortunately, the firefighters were able to salvage Cameron’s suitcase, where he had stored his passport, in a back closet of the bedroom, farthest away from where the fire began. This will allow him to travel back home to the UK this week, but he is still without everything else he came here with, including shoes.

Ashlin had worked so hard to save money and purchase this camper all on her own. She just bought it this past fall. Her dream was to take it across the country and travel within the next couple of years. They had both been working hard on fixing it up over the past few months to make it their own. This was more than a camper. It was their home. They are beyond devastated.
