The last 5 months have been some of the hardest times me and my son have ever faced. We went from trying to simply stay afloat to fighting every day just to survive. We’ve dealt with housing instability, loss of transportation, financial hardship, and the emotional stress that comes with not knowing what tomorrow will look like.

As a mother, it has broken me at times not being able to provide the stability my son deserves, but no matter how hard things got, I never gave up on us. I’ve spent countless days searching for resources, applying for assistance, and doing everything possible to keep us moving forward. Unfortunately, many programs either had no funding available or were unable to help in time.

Through all of this, my son has remained strong, patient, and loving even during the moments children should never have to worry about adult struggles. He is my reason for continuing to push through every setback.

We finally received some good news and are getting closer to permanent housing, but we still have major obstacles standing in the way, including past-due utility bills, transportation needs, and rebuilding from everything we lost during this difficult season.

Creating this fundraiser was not easy for me because I’ve always tried to handle things on my own. But right now, I’m asking for help so me and my son can finally have stability, peace, and a real fresh start.
