Support Ashley Zerr's Recovery Journey from Breast Cancer
Donation protected
In December, our world was turned upside down when our daughter, Ashley Zerr, was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. A few months earlier, Ashley had noticed a small lump in her chest. After countless appointments—including mammograms, biopsies, and MRIs—the diagnosis was confirmed.
In January, just one month before Ashley and Alex’s wedding in Cabo, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor. While this was a significant step forward, it was only the beginning of her journey. Currently, Ashley is undergoing IVF treatments to protect her fertility before starting chemotherapy. Ashley and Alex have made the decision to create embryos through IVF to give themselves the best shot at eventually creating a family. Unfortunately, this procedure is not covered by insurance, adding an additional financial burden to an already difficult time.
Ashley is a dedicated teacher of small children, pouring her heart into nurturing and educating her students every day. She loves her job, but this diagnosis and the treatment plan ahead—including chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone therapy—have made it necessary for her to take a medical leave from work. The emotional and physical toll this has taken on Ashley, as well as the financial strain, is overwhelming. The costs of medical treatments, surgeries, IVF procedures, and ongoing doctor visits are quickly adding up.
As a family, we’re doing everything we can to support her, but we need your help. We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community to help ease the burden of these mounting medical expenses so Ashley can focus on her recovery.
Every donation—big or small—will go directly toward Ashley’s medical expenses. Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network, keeping Ashley in your thoughts and prayers, or offering your emotional support will mean the world to us during this incredibly challenging time.
Together, we can help Ashley come out of this stronger and more resilient than ever before.
Thank you for being part of Ashley’s journey.
