Help Ashley Wallace's Family Rebuild After Storm

Hello everyone, my name is Ashley Wallace. I am creating our GoFundMe to help raise funds for myself, my mother, Janet Chase, my fiancée, Keith Lucombe, my brother, Christian Holland, and my best friend, Renna Quashie, as well as the remaining members of my family who have been displaced due to several trees falling on our home and vehicles, destroying mostly everything we own and our vehicles.

On May 16, 2025, a devastating storm changed everything for our family. With powerful winds and heavy rain, massive trees came crashing down — completely destroying our home in Chesapeake Beach, MD, and all 5 of our vehicles. Miraculously, everyone made it out safely, but we lost nearly everything we own. Myself, my fiancée, my sister, my best friend, and her 3 children (ages 4, 2, and 10 months) were all in the car as the trees fell.

Eight of us — including children (ages 13 and 7 months) and elderly family members — are now displaced, without transportation or a place to call home. My mother, myself, my fiancée, my brother, and my best friend have all lost our cars. We are currently placed in 3 hotel rooms without kitchen accommodations, and we were now told our rental coverage through our insurance will end in a few days. We’re facing an overwhelming uphill battle to rebuild our lives from the ground up.

We’re asking for your help to get back on our feet. Donations will go toward:

• Emergency housing and living expenses. We are currently in 3 hotel rooms without any place to prepare meals. Providing daily meals is becoming more and more costly as we have to continue eating out.

• Replacing essential belongings. The tree fell through the roof of my brother's room, destroying all clothes, shoes, electronics, etc.

• Transportation and vehicle recovery. Our insurance was supposed to cover 30 days of rental, but we were just informed that we have days to return the vehicles since our vehicles are a total loss.

• Long-term recovery and rebuilding.

Every dollar, share, and kind word means the world to us right now. All money will be distributed to help replace our vehicles and daily essentials such as food, clothes, transportation, etc., while in the hotel.
