To know our sweet girl is to be in awe of her.

Ashley is the kind of human who would give you whatever you need, and she has - over and over. She would come home without a jacket or shoes because she someone who needed it more. She is the hardest worker I have ever met. From Clean and Green in LA, where she would wake up before 5 am to catch the bus to clean LA streets before school, to her current role as a manager for Pizza Hut (where she often works 60-70 hours) she goes beyond the extra mile.

She moved in with our family days after turning 18, but before that she was my Little Sister through Big Brothers, Big Sisters in LA starting when she was 9.5.

If you've read Crushed you've already "met" her, you already know a little bit about the obstacles she's faced and how hard she has worked to change her circumstances. But that truly is just a bit - one day she will write her own story and you will realize just why we are so in awe of her. Truly.

Tomorrow, August 25th, she begins beauty school - and she did this ALL on her own. Toured schools, chose one, applied for FAFSA and then worked out the timing. She will be going full time and cannot sustain working the hours she is, on top of tuition. We would love nothing more than to pay it all ourselves, but humbly, we cannot - so we are asking for help to support our incredible oldest daughter for a future we know will be so bright!

She's already incredible at braiding hair - seriously, so talented - and we cannot WAIT to see how her talents will grow through school. We would love for you to be a part of it - and either way please leave her a note letting her know how excited you are for her in this new chapter. We love you Ashley and believe in you SO SO much!
