Hi! My name is Ashley Loera, I am a First Generation Mexican American with a Masters Degree in Sound Design from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland! I just graduated at the end of November! I recently took a huge leap of faith, and decided to move to London to find work in my field as a Sound Engineer. I aspire to find work in the Film and Music Industries as a Composer, Sound Engineer and Music Producer.

Moving to London has not been an easy transition for me. The job market is very tough to get into right now, and I had to sleep on a couch for 3 months, while I located work. I am grateful to announce that I am working and have recently moved into a Flat share with 3 roommates, however, I am making minimum wage and only making enough to pay for rent, food and bills.

Unfortunately, I do not have the funds to pay for my Graduate VISA and I am coming up to my Student VISA term limit in January, 2026.

I am asking my community to help me raise what I need in order to pay for my Graduate VISA which will allow me more time to locate work in my field as a Composer, Sound Engineer and Music Producer.

I have to raise £2950 (USD equivalent - $3940) by December 20, 2025 in order to pay for my Graduate VISA application fee and the Immigration Health Subcharge (IHS) by January 1, 2026. I am raising $4200 in order to cover the Gofundme deposit fee and pay for Graduate VISA application.

Please donate whatever you can, any and all support is deeply appreciated. I ask that you please repost my campaign to assist me in raising what I need for this application as I have only 2-weeks to accomplish this fundraising goal.
