2025 hit me like a freight train, and it’s never just one thing at once. Ben’s death changed everything, and just two months later, my mom passed away. While she was on hospice, my best friend betrayed me, and then I lost my uncle. In December, my job closed, and I started searching for work immediately. It took six months to find a new job, and now I’m working as a contractor because the job market is so tough. My contract is up in October and I’ve already started looking for new jobs, because they’re not going to hire me on.

Going from a double income household to managing everything alone has been overwhelming. I’m struggling to pay 100% of the mortgage and bills, and at this rate, I may lose the house. My current plan is to sell it, but being here feels like living in a mausoleum. I’ve been in the mental hospital more than once because I simply can’t live without Ben. I’m doing everything I can to keep going, but it’s hard to admit how much I need help.
